today, late auguse, i went out at 5 pm and was chilled to the bone, it rained the past 2 nights.  the temp has been experimenting with the idea of a 5-10c low at night.
once, the encroaching autum made me glum, but not so anymore.
gather up your paper bags and walking sticks, i now decree the season begun.
its a little early, but not by much, its cold enough, its wet enough.
and it was a hot and very wet summer.

(in the east anyway)

it been the best year ever for panaeolus. and that particular mushroom still has its fall fruiting left which is always killer. (usually better than the spring)

but libs, mad libs!

i can see myself overdoing it again :smile:

well, im on my way out to check th pasture behind my place now, i should check higher elevations first, im at sea level here (actually a bit below via dyke system)  but it will be dark by the time i get up the mountain. seeya

Lucky bastid. It's been around 90F here with 50-60% humidity. It's like living in a god damn sauna.

well, i just got back from my walk, the condition are good enough, now its all up to them.

i picked about a lb of chanterelles, about 7-8 winter chanterelles (rare)

and i raided the experimental farm compost heap and got 5 massive rubber tree cuttings, a bunch of kiwi vine cuttings, and a handfull of coleus (wanted some for a while)
and i also picked some huge chamomille plants for tea. i also found some wild secum, oh well, next time ill get some of those :smile:
