I think it's just a boring sport. Start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, someone runs down the field with the ball, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, someone kicks a field goal, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop, start, stop. I just can't watch a game where scoring is so sparse and the action is so start/stop. Give me some basketball all day.

Frankly sports in general are only an outward manifestation of the engrained desire to compete, and self realize. They start from childhood and from the beginning of recorded history. To say this product of society that represents these core idead is better or worse is completely a superiority complex. I love football because I played in HS and formed strong friendships through it so I have an emotional attachment obviously I'm assuming those with similar experience would say their sport is better... as far as football only being physical that is ignorance at it's best because anyone who competes realizes it is anything but that (apart from maybe the defensive line and more limited to the offensive line)

I understand what you are saying. But that creates suspense. Whenever the crowd is roaring before a big play that might determine the outcome of the game, that can put you on the edge of your seat as you wait for the snap.

Whereas in soccer for instance, they spend the majority of the game in the middle of the field nowhere close to scoring. There's not much of a chance they're about to kick a goal from roughly half-field. It's too constant, there's not enough variance.

I love basketball so I can understand the suspense of coming down to one play, happens all the time in any sport, especially between good teams. And in any of those games it's fun, from golf to ping pong to football or basketball. But football, outside of coming down to a final play that determines everything is boring to me. Need more action.

Lol football players breathe, so that is doing something.

But still, even if you don't like football, he also dissed just about every other sport imaginable...he ditched soccer and lacrosse as well, even though they are "doing something" for the majority of the game. The point is if there is going to be one exception to his criticism of all sports - why hockey? I think hockey is one of the least popular, least watched sports, and I don't see anything it has that really makes it stand out in comparison to other sports.

It's aiight. I don't look for it, but when it is presented i watch and i enjoy. I think most sports are boring to watch if you aren't familiar with the teams, players, or the rules of the game. Most people who are really into watching a specific sport were or are players themselves. For example, i love watching skateboarding videos, because i skated and still do sometimes.

I played organized football when I was younger for 2 years, and my whole family watches it every sunday.. although I havent lived with them for 10+ years.. does that count?
I know the rules I just think it's a lame sport. Didn't like playing it, think it's boring to watch. But that's just like, my opinion man. I know it's not a popular one here in America.
I skated and like watching skating videos too.
