I have a hernia

So I have an Inguinal Hernia. I have been reading that they dont really recommend surgery for that type anymore and that it can be cured through exercise and proper diet.

Has anyone else had any experience with this?

I have something similar, it's a hernia, but not sure where it's located or what kind it is, I know I get abdomen discomfort time to time, the doc told me to schedule it for a surgery, but then he also said: It's not real important to do so, and I can wait as long as I want.

Do you ever get pain in your testicles or other areas due to it?

So with the type of hernia I have if the intestine goes through the abdominal muscles far enough it can go into the scrotum, so before i would sometimes get pain there but since I have been doing these exercises it seems to be getting better already.

Also for healing it is important to locate it becasue you should be able to actually push it back in place( and its important to keep it in at all times if possible), and only then can the muscles start healing

An interesting fact I read is that 3 out of 10 males will get a hernia in their lifetime while only 3 out of 100 women will . . . Oh well I would rather have a hernia than a baby :shrug:

Good luck with it.

I'm positive my mother has an umbilical hernia, and she has it for a while, but she refuses to go see a doctor about it. She's more or less afraid of doctors and hasn't seen one in a long time.
