marijuana prohibition

Thought I'd post this cool video about marijuana prohibition and the difference between a plant that cures pain and stimulates the economy and prohibition and gang violence and seizures and arrests etc.

Anyway, the web site for my association should be up in less then 10 days, if the web designer gets on their ass. The National Association of Growing and Selling Advocates won't be accepting member ships for awhile though, at least a few months. Simply because, the site will be very informal, but at this point I want to measure traffic to the site. This way I can really push the service providers who will provide insurance, legal benefits, and contracting benefits, to want to give as much of a discount to members as possible. At this point I need them much more then they need me, but if my site gets 100 views a day, by the end of the year, that will be 36,500 views the site will have gotten, and I'll be able to push the service providers to give a higher discount to members, since they'll see my marketing for their services.

This association is going to be really fucking cool. Hopefully before next December I'll be charging for members already, $65 a year, and I'll be able to get some cool stuff out there for people who want to be involved. Take into account, cannabis is completely illegal on a federal level, complying with state laws only get you so far, much safer to have a smaller indoor growing area and grow less then 5000 plants, and be in business for years and years and years, then to grow 50,000 plants, get raided by the feds, and spend the rest of your life in prison.

Ok I'll be posting that when it's done, look forward to it.

Pretty accurate, like the vid.... Wish I could be born in the future when Marijuana will be legal everywhere, looks like the movement has already begun.

I really doubt it. Federally we haven't had a president in the last 30 years that was even SLIGHTLY lenient about marijuana prohibition. Until we get an actual pro marijuana supporting president, and a very lenient congress, I doubt state exemption will change the actual laws of cannabis for any state any time soon. You do realize that despite state law, you go walking around with an oz. in your back pack in any state where cannabis is regulated for sale purposes, and the feds can still come by and arrest you and give you 10 years in prison right?

In fact, if you are thinking I am speaking of a theoretical situation, please understand that this sort of thing happens every day in California and Washington and Colorado and Massachusetts, as well as in other states. Be very very very careful my friend.

Of course, but and it's a big but, if the majority of states legalize the chances of it becoming federaly legal are definatley better. I live in Alaska so we've pretty much said fuckem since becoming a state.

I understand but understand that prisons are huge business and prison companies lobby to Washington. I assume if all states go legal perhaps the feds will change their laws. But I doubt marijuana will be completely unprohibited perhaps the feds will allow national de criminalization but completely  re amending the laws to completely unprohibit cannabis as alcohol it seems unlikely
