something to hide website names?
    #1751524 - 07/26/03 08:13 PM (20 years, 8 months ago)

Are their any programs or websites or whatever that can be used to cover up the names of certain website that I might go on at work or school. Like if I go to the shroomery at work I don't want the shroomery to show up on IE when you start to type in "www.sh---." Even if you clear the history it will still show up. If anybody can decode my ramblings and can help me it would be great.

Or you could do a net search and look for some decent proxy server, that should hide a lot of info for you.

In my experience, a proxy will hide your end destination from your local computer and firewall. It shows that you are going to the proxy address, which is passing along content from the second site. I used that to get around filtering a lot, and defeat the tracing program on the firewall at motorola.

I have the perfect solution
It's called IP Obfuscation
http://javascript.internet.com/equivalents/ip-obfuscation.html

Here is the obfuscated link to the shroomery forums. Try it and see!
