I think it would be cool to have a forum totally devoted to Dreaming. People could post there dreams, get interperatations, share lucid techniques, what inhaces dreaming. Dreaming is just like tripping every night. It brings out areas of our brain that are normally dormant during waking hours. We could at least try it out and see how it goes for a few weeks, and if its not popular. Just scrap it like the bookclub. Of course i volunteer to be a moderater. I'm on here everyday anyways, and have some experience in luciddreaming. HEY GUYS VOTE HERE: http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php?Cat=&Number=1746058&page=0&view=collapsed&sb=5&o=&fpart=1#Post1746478

Like a few of you i love dreaming too. I like to see one to or a pined thread and if it get lots of hits make that thread happen.
So ever seed some images in the dream and draw them in real life well i got a few i got to hook up to the scanner.
Lucid dreams for me are caused by medatition, drugs or course and for some odd reason as i go throught out my day i see everyday objcets i dont actively think of them. But latter that night they become part of my dream. Yes you want a expample. I was at my job as i do every day and i seen some plywood outside the back ally some one was throwing out into our trash( i work in a restaunt) ppl throw thing into our trash sometimes i not going to pick it up.
So later that night i had a dream a short one i was walking around the hardware store and i wanted some thing but unsure what i turned the isle and seen thousands of these pices of wood just like the one outside work.
As of drugs there is a thread in the garden for Dream indusing Herbs. take a look.

Best idea since the support group forum

You could like, be the mod.
Funny you should mention dream inspiration. The other day I dreamed I had finished my novel and I had like a hundred paperback copies of it...that day I wrote like four more pages.

After pondering this, I have concluded that a Dream Forum is a most righteous idea and has my full support Could have all kinds of awesome topics.. and dreams are an important thing for everyone to explore.. just writing them out will give you more insight into your dreams.. which reflect reality. I would imagine it would be a very vivid forum and quite delightful.

GREAT idea!
We could have dream logs, just like grow logs. Everyone, including I, should be writing down their dreams... creating a forum could get some of us started!

On the record, I offer my full support of this idea, and would myself actively particpate in such an orginization.
Oh wait, I'm not on a political campaign. Oh well. But, seriously, I'd go there and post. (could tie in astral projections) Peace.

The cool thing about creating forums is if they don't work out, they can be deleted.

Then do it in the Pub or OTD or even S & P.
I admit that dreams are a cool topic and can generate a lot of discussion.
But you keep forgetting that this is a site essentially dedicated to magic mushrooms. There are far more relevant subject areas (Garden, ODD) that only have the single forum.
It has to stop somewhere.

Under your logic for "good" reasons for a forum we wouldn't have the Spirituality and philosophy forum, off topic, pub, support group, gathering, science and technology, politics. They'r all good forums. Some move slower and don't apeal to certain people, but they get to stick around. All i'm asking is that you give it a chance. See how it goes for a week or two, and if it dosent apeal to enouph. Kill It. That simple. Go out on a limb man. I'll be forever greatful

I'm all for it! We sleep one third of our life and dream nearly every time we sleep. This field has only had the surface skimmed and I think that dreams are just as important a topic as any of the other non-entheogen forums.
I have a fairly extensive background in lucid dreaming and have read every bit of literature I can get my hands on pertaining to that and related fields. If anyone needs help manifesting this forum idea, just PM me and I will be of whatever assistance you need.

If you're not sure, perhaps I can offer some persuasion.
Dreams are a big topic. S&P consistently gets many dream threads. While I welcome them there, sometimes I have thought it would be more appropriate if they had their own forum, there is certainly more than enough material already to constitute it. Though I am kind of split on this because I think it would cut down S&P traffic.
We spend a good 30-40% of our lives sleeping, and dreams are our only memory of that cogitative state. Dreams are important, for many reasons, and we must remember them, as they reflect waking reality. Writing down your dreams and talking with others about them helps greatly in the cognitive process. This is fact.
It's part of the Entheogenic Experience.. Dreams are our portal into the deep cosmic god within.. they are parallel to mushrooms and everything psychedelic ten times over! Dreams belong in the forefront of our consciousness, not in the background, so that we can analyze them and make more sense of them/reality. Dreams are the subconscious defragmenting..what is OTD?
..or we could make a dream sticky thread and watch it grow to 500 pages..

I wouild like to support this idea - dreams are images created by the mind much as hallucinogens are. I think dreams can be very psychedellic and it ties in with herbs like Calea. It seems like the forum idea is getting a lot of user support so why not? You sure don't seem against stupid joke forums lol.

I can understand where you're coming from, but I must say I also really think this could be a good idea.. Would it not be feasible to atleast consider the creation of some kind of a sub-forum connected to S&P (for ex.) for something like this? I mean I realize the concerns about server resources and the like..but IMO the topic of dreams in most cases can definitely fit nicely under the entheogenic experience category and not particularly in OTD..

yeah.. well in my experience most people post dream threads in S&P and The Pub with S&P having the most by far. OTD is not the place for 90% of dream threads IMO. But at any rate.. I made a Dream Thread a while ago which is in the links in the sticky thread http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat...;o=&fpart=1
