I love thrash but this wasn't even thrash.. it was like the girliest metal I've ever heard. Not more then 5 seconds of double bass.. it was so bad. I couldn't headbang to anything.

Today this girl wanted my spot (i got there 3 hours early to be in front) and I said no. they got there an hour into the show. she got all kinds of pissed off and started jabbing me in the back and stuff. she was even jabbing my girl for no reason and I wanted to elbow her in the face pretty girl always got everything she wanted, not this time. at one point she said "i can't see!" and she had been texting all night and I was annoyed by her and I said I'll find her a stool if she wanted she got so mad it was hilarious. 4 huge retarded me all got way too drunk and passed out before megadeth even took the stage.. the atmosphere so so terrible.

The concert is the perfect platform. You get to embrace more senses live in person so why wouldn't that be better? And if its the people you have a problem with, can't really help you there. And if you dislike certain concerts, actively seek out some new genres you might like to see live like a cool Bluegrass band or a certain Electronic Act.

I love live music though. Holy shit, best thing I ever did was actually move to a place with a decent music scene, I'd be at one e'rry night of the week if I could. Not necessarily huge concerts either, all types of venues down to tiny cramped house shows can be loads of fun and very cost effective.
People pay ridiculous prices to see concerts, sometimes. I seldom pay more than 25-30 bucks for a big act that's coming through on tour, most of the time it's quite a bit cheaper than that.

These days, I find myself a bit burnt out.  I don't enjoy the vibes of many of the show's crowds these days and am also a bit stingier with my cash.  I'll occasionally attend show of an old band I still enjoy or a multiple-day psychedelic festival.

I think a festival with weed would be fun.. I'm stuck going to shit on Sunday nights and gotta work at 5 the next day The crowd is usually very annoying to me as well. People just get shitfaced and think it's the best show that ever graced the Earth.. IDK if I'm paying $100 for an hour of music I wanna be blown away.

i know where your coming from pfxtc. i don't mind a small intimate concert, but i'm done with the big music festivals. also i never travel to see bands anymore. whatever comes to my town is what i'll see, as long as it's decent, and i usually have just as much fun.

i've kinda figured something out about live music. seeing live music as opposed to listening to a cd is a lot like going to the theater as opposed to watching a movie. it's not necessarily better because it's live.

Stop going to see old washed-up people play if you don't want to see a shitty show

What do you expect when you see 70-75+ year olds get out on stage?  This isn't the 1970s anymore.  If you want to see some good blues rock from people who can play you need to go see some younger folks, like Chris Duarte or Kenny Wayne Shepperd.
