Wow I'm really diggin' them! Btw I've noticed that there's a sort of divide between what I would call "harder" ambient and "softer" ambient.

For example, some ambient seems to have a sort of percussive beat or rhythm behind it, I might call that harder ambient. Do you notice how there is this kind of distinction?

The Helios track I posted above would probably be soft.

This is probably one of my favs. But yeah, some psybient tracks seem to gravitate more towards their psytrance roots and less towards their ambient ones, IMO.

oh def. There is a huge difference between space music, or pure atmospheric, and psybient, downtempo, and the like. But, I usually group it all as ambient of sorts.
