Let's say SR is compromised right now and the DEA has access to everything going on there without letting anyone know. Any transaction utilizing bitcoins takes the time it does so computers can verify the transaction(after 6 it's pretty much assumed legitimate) so bitcoins can't be used for more than one transaction(a transaction being the action of sending bitcoins to some receive address).
If you have a receive address, and click get new receive address, that old address can still be used and those bitcoins will end up in your account that it was tied to.
It has been shown that moving large amounts of bitcoins can be pretty easily traced back to the party involved due to the mass. If however SR is compromised, and you send bitcoins to your SR account from a mtgox account that is verified any everything. It is just one step from you to SR. Why be lazy and risk that after going through all the trouble of ensuring your internet traffic is routed through Tor, communication is encrypted, and it's running on a machine you're 100% certain is clean(unless using a VM)?
