I second xanax is pointless, in me it actually does the opposite of what it's meant to do. It makes me all giddy and excitable. WTF, if I wanted that I'd take an upper. Why would I take a benzodiazepine for that? :crankey:

I'm having a hard time thinking of another pointless drug off the top of my head... they all seem to be good for something...

I'm gonna have to go with bath salts for the reason that there'd be absolutely no reason to use them if certain better drugs weren't restricted.

It's definitely a contest, a poll would probably be appropriate.

Possibly tobacco because it doesn't get you high, just gets you addicted and kills you.

Or legal synthetics like spice and bath salts, because like someone already said, they would be obsolete were other drugs legal.

I think one of the "less-interesting" entries in TiHKAL is a drug that causes odors to smell unpleasant for the duration. No other noticeable effects.
