This was mass murder, not murder. He would have had trouble with a pocket knife. Even a machete would have required a huge amount of strength to hurt/kill the same number of people, but whatever, I think we should all have guns to thin out the population.

it's been discussed ad nauseum in this thread, it's happened before where
someone with a knife killed  a large number of people. it doesnt require
massive amounts of strength or incredible knife fighting skills to kill
people with a knife especially when people are falling all over themselves
to get away from the danger, that makes them easier targets
