ramen noodle soup

it seems the possibilities are endless.

for every person i ask , i get a different answer. I also have to admit, that after rough times of HAVING to eat ramen, due to lack of financial stability, there were long periods where i was saying "fuck ramen"

I picked up for first two big packs of it yesterday, sticking to the normal flavors, i got one case of chicken and one case of beef. I did this because i have recently gotten into fermenting, not just wines, but also food. I started with sourkreut and moved on to kimchi. Which is a blend of SPICY vegetables, made with either napa cabbage or Oysters. The latter two ingredients are a must as the entero/lactic bacteria are present in both oysters and napa cabbage, that is essential to the ferment. I had heard that kimchi was a phenominal way of spicing up ramen noodle, and indeed it was!

Today for lunch i free-styled a bowl of ramen, by cooking it, draining 90% of the water ( as i usually do, making more of a casserole than a soup) added fresh onion, garlic powder, cheech ( from cheech and chong) chipotle hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and of course the flavor packet...i.e the "sodium bomb":tongue:

so, how do you eat your ramen? ( yes i am aware of the endless combination of sarcastic comments that can come from the wording of this question)

example: i like to eat my ramen while getting my dick sucked  :blowme:  :blowme:

If I dont make it hot/spicy enough to make me cry, I really dont eat it. Daves Insanity sauce does the trick, or capsicum drops for pure heat without fucking up the flavor. Usually do 2 drops.

IIRC, pure capsaicin is 16,000,000. i think tabasco is like 2500–5000, i always try to keep that in mind when shopping for hot sace. like if something is two, three, four....ten times hotter than tabasco, it helps me picture it.

I eat my ramen like this, though happily swap ingredients with whatever seasonal veggies look the best at the time, I'll also throw some dumplings in on occasion. :yesnod:

That soup does look good.

When I used to eat Ramen I would use two packets instead of one, and then sometimes I'd add some lemon pepper seasoning. Too much salt though!

I'm so glad I don't have to eat that crap anymore hahaha.

I rarely eat ramen but when I do, it's loaded with so much stuff
you are hard pressed to find a noodle. I never eat ramen based on
financial factors, I've learned how to stretch a penny to the point
that it's copper wire and still eat well.

clearly you eat it for the enjoyment

Yea it's not "pure" to say.

Capsicum + veggie oil. Doesnt effect the flavor of what your putting in. But at 500,000 pure drop. Be-careful if your new to it.

I like to mix leftovers, like meatloaf in the beef kind, or some grilled chicken in the chicken flavor

OP, sounds like you got enough bulk ramen to last a few winters

you speak truth about the shrimp flavor, that shit is total garbage. The only other one i will eat besides chicken and beef, is the oriental, but they seem to only sell it in singles, so fuck that, i never go shopping for just one pack of ramen:facepalm:

now chili, that does sound good. They also have one called creamy chicken, but i have failed to ever notice a difference between it and the regular chicken, but i only had it once.
