nirvana or alice in chains unplugged?

K so I think we can all agree the best two unplugged concerts are nirvana and alice in chains...who do you think is better?

I think the nirvana cd sounds way better even though it's glaringly obvious alice in chains are the superior musicians.

I fully agree. I love "Got Me Wrong", where Staley's harmony is 3 times as loud and pronounced as the radio version. Nutshell is so much better imo on the unplugged, as well as Brother. But Kurt's energy on "Where Did You Sleep Last Night" is seriously powerful shit. I really love 'em both man.

who knows tho...i heard jerry cantrell had a stomach virus and staley was sick as shit for the show...maybe had they been healthier it would have reigned supreme.

Both are so good...., I'd have to give it to Nirvana if only on a purely nostalgic level. It got me in to Meat Puppets, it got me in to Leadbelly, Alice in Chains Unplugged is great but it didn't open me up to new artists at the same time.

Nirvana Unplugged is legendary. Alice is great too, but I got a lil place in my heart for these 2 songs off Nirvana's Unplugged.

My favorite 2 from that album:

Alice in Chains for sure. When ever I sit down and listen to that unplugged albulm I get chills when they open with Nutshell. Ive always gotten alot more out of AIC than Nirvana.

sometimes i also think that kurt cobain was kind of a douchey front man.  It's like once he realized he was popular and people looked up to him, he was an asshat in every interview he ever did, constantly trolling his fans.

it almost wouldn't suprise me if that's part of why he killed himself was to hurt his fans.  Of course Idk about that for sure.

Both are great !
But I am going with AIC ..
Saw them 4 times Live.
Best show I have ever seen was when they Suprise opened on the fuel for fire tour.
Layne's voice made the ground shake!

who would have survived their addiction longer?  Both artists had mars in scorpio, which makes them prone to take things wayyyyyy too far, but also gives them a fortitude that allows them to outlast normal humans.

Had kurt not killed himself, could he have beated Layne's record of 34 years?
