Grand jury to get case of Texas dad who beat alleged child molester to death

The girl’s father notified police late Saturday afternoon that he attacked a man he caught attempting to sexually assault his daughter near a barn where horses were kept, Harmon said.

“In the course of trying to get her away from him, and protect her, he struck the subject several times in the head and the subject died,” Harmon said.

“Assuming it’s true that this guy was molesting the daughter, and we don’t know what exactly happened at this point, he would then have the right to defend [her], and hit him enough to have him stop,” Harrington told FoxNews.com. “But you cannot summarily execute him, even though I can understand the anger he would have.”

Man this is a tricky one. If they can prove his daughter was being sexually attacked then this guy
better not see a jail cell. Almost anyone would do the same thing.

Yea, if I had a daughter and anyone tried to do something to her, it would be lights out for them, don't care if I go to jail. Still, I could see him getting charged with manslaughter or negligent homicide because it was excessive force if the guy stopped going for the girl after he started pummeling him, which he probably did.

Well just because he was molesting the girl doest mean he blew his load all over her.

It would probably just come down to the word of the father and the girl.

Like I said its tricky though I dont know if its enough.

the use of deadly force is justified, similar to Zimmerman, if a family member is in life threatening danger and in some districts you can use deadly force if a family member is being sexually assaulted/raped.

its the same type of defense claim that zimmerman is making though. the law is the same in this case as for the zimmerman case. i'm not passing judgement of zimmerman i'm just pointing out that the law in question is the same here as it is for that case. good gawd man lighten up.

How is hitting someone with an object who's sexually assaulting your daughter neanderthal?


She was in imminent danger. People can legally kill each other for a lot less in texas. As long as they can prove she was being assaulted then he will get off, and rightly so.
