wtf... sprint ending picturemail
    #16073645 -

I love sending pictures to friends, especially chicks I'm trying to game.  Sprint claims that you can just send emails with pictures in them, and that fulfills the same function.  Um, no it does not.  If I take a picture with my phone, I don't want to have to figure out the person's email in order to send them a picture.  Are there other options to send pictures through a mobile device without text or email that doesn't require the end user to download new shit?

Hmmmmm, this appears to be just for the sprint->sprint picture sending feature which I didn't even know existed.

Quote:
Sprint has officially notified its subscribers that it will be closing down its Picture Mail feature next month. Users have until April 30 to grab any photos that they have uploaded and stored online. The web interface lets users drag and drop photos or whole albums to speed the process.

For those wanting to store or share their photos, Sprint suggests third-party alternatives, ranging from dedicated sites such as Flickr or Photobucket to social social networking services including Google+ or Facebook.

The service had seen its usefulness disappear precisely because of those same photo and social networking services. With smartphones dominating Sprint sales, most of the provider's customer base doesn't have a need for a carrier-specific service and can often get more features. [via Android Central]

Either way, I can't send or receive picture mail at the moment via text.  I tried updating the profile and PRL and resetting my phone with no change.  Looks like the only option is a hard factory reset.  God damnit.
