Here you can get see some of the more important parts of your genes by ordering a kit for $99.00 and sending some of your saliva to this company. They are the only geno-typing company that you don't need a referral from a doctor or anything. Such as your risk for getting alzheimers or parkinsons. It's not nearly as detailed as getting your entire genome sequenced but it's cool anyways. Also it's not 100% accurate yet. I suspect within 4-5 years we'll be able to sequence your entire genome and be able to analyse your genes.

I really want to do that thing.

I always was curious to see how much superior I am compared to the regular human being!

I thought that these services (several companies offer them, I understand; this is not the only one) were relatively unreliable, no?

Also, I'm not sure if I'd want to purposefully provide them with specific information on my genotype in combination with my identity. What would the implications be if that sort of information was stolen or leaked?

I'm not overly enthusiastic about this, although the technology is certainly fascinating.

It won't show how much superior you are compared to other human beings as these markers are not very well established. It will show you that you're likely to die from pancreatic cancer or have some schizophrenia predisposing polymorphisms or maybe that you will develop huntington and turn into a human mess.

The bonus is that you will live in fear and anxiety till your hidden genetic defect manifests itself and you die.
