Just a really weird cameo that I wasn't expecting. And he was making sense in the movie.

alex jones may say some dumb crazy stuff, but all around he's an alright dude.  The pressure of being famous kind of neccessitated him being a little more grandoise.  everyone here at the shroomery used to love him.

I agree. Many things Alex Jones says I think are absolutely right on. He can get drawn into some fucking crazy conspiracy theories though he doesn't seem very good at being careful about what he says he hurts his own credibility. Kind of reminds me of Jesse Ventura cause he can say some crazy shit to, not nearly as bad as Alex though. Even with his crazy antics at least he's always questioning the government, even if he's way out in left field some of the time.

I used to watch A Scanner Darkly with my friend everytime we tripped back in high school before I knew who Alex Jones was, I guess I'm going to have to watch it again.

Alex jones is a relatively infamous radio host. If you want to get a feel for the stuff he does, check out his site infowars.com

He makes a habbit of chasing down conspiracy "theories" like the bilderberg group etc and protesting their stuff with a loudspeaker out front. Among other things. But he is kinda frowned upon by main stream media.

It's funny because if you've seen a scanner you remember how authoritarian the gov and corporations are in it. Well there is a scene of him protesting and getting tazed with a loudspeaker.. and it's him not an actor, even tho it's set in the future haha

I watched this movie before I knew about alex jones, I thought it was pretty cool when I watched it one day when I was aware of who he was.
