But for a place about magic mushrooms, there sure are a lot of arseholes here.

Or maybe I'm just getting more sensitive to what seems like more and more posts where people are justifying their actions, shitting on other people for having a difference of opinion, or just being offensive cunts to one another.

This is no accusation, more just something I'm trying to get my head around. I thought this place would attract a certain type of person, but there's a lot of new topics each day, the same lot of names coming up on the vast majority of them, and I keep wondering to myself with a few people here, why they're here.

Now that's just my private thoughts so no I don't want to elaborate further on that. Maybe there's always been the same amount of uncool behaviour and I just care more now.

It's not just you, there are people like that everywhere in the world. The Pub has a lot of people like that but there are quite a few cool people on here too, I've noticed OTD has the most though.

You have a few principles at work here...

Number one is the basic internet equation. Keyboard + anonymity = asshole. Boredom can also add to this equation.

Number two is that many folks get into psychedelic drugs at a young age. We have some kids here younger than 18. We also have some around 18-21. Immaturity is not in short supply.

Number three is that this is the Pube. If you want more intelligent conversation devoid of trolling and name-calling, I would suggest one of the more specialized forums with an actual topic of conversation.

I'm not talking about the pub. When I look at stuff I use the active topics feature, so I'm reading the topic and later on seeing what forum it's in.

I know people can say what they want without the fear of getting face fisted but if anything people are being more dickish. And it's just the content of posts. I see more (usually in SA) posts about selfish behaviour, borderline illegal stuff and how to get away with it. Not stuff like how to hide a grow op, just things like the "trick ass hoe" topic (before you tell me it's just someone being :trolldance: yeah I know. But this sort of stuff does go on and my spidey sense tells me it's for real).

Maybe I'm just being all butthurt and faggy because I don't like people being mean.

The Shroomery (and internet as a whole) has been lost to a bunch of kids pretending to be cool by "trolling" and posting ridiculous shit that takes very little thought process whatsoever.

The internet, as well as most of the United States, has basically made the movie Idiocracy a true story.

yeah there are a lot of assholes here, but, it's an internet forum, so what do you expect.  but there are also a lot of really amazing people.  some of them are my best friends now IRL.  you just have to develop a filter and a good troll radar.
