What do you tell the post office?
    #1589025 -

If you are sending something via priority mail, and you were sending syringes and prints, what do you tell the people at the post office? Just that?

You tell them...nothing?

They are supposed to ask if it's anything perishable, or harmful. You're not required to tell them if it's anything other than they asked. Tell them something if asked so it won't raise suspicion if you don't want them to know the truth.

Telling them the truth isn't illegal, but telling otherwise lessens the chances of a tattle tale.

I usually tell them anything of the same size and weight. If it's a single syringe, I just tell them it's a dental retainer a relative left while visiting from another state.

They ASK you what you're shipping? The post offices around here just takes your package and that's that. :-/ If it's a matter of you going in and packaging in front of them, I'd say just walk in, get some free packaging material-come back the next day or later that day with the box and ship it, if they ask what you're shipping I'd just bull shit them. The worst that can happen I'd assume would be them sending a letter to the return address on the box and you can even explain that away with "Oh yeah sorry, I thought I was shipping out Leslie's ballet slippers" or whatever the fuck. Spores are legal-so it shouldn't be a problem..right?

Shipping to another country always brings this up.  The little green claim sticker has to be filled out with sender/recepient return address, contents, and value.  I've received [gourmet] cultures that were marked 'mushroom spawn' without a problem.  I'm still a little wary of mailing anything [gourmet] labelled like that.  Cassette tapes, candle holders, "art", fittings, bearings. . .once I was in a foul mood and labelled it "small child", and it made it OK

One time I got spores in the mail from Canada and the customs sticker read that it was "plant food." This seems sufficient to me.

LMFAO!

I would not recommend this. Of course they would believe it to be false information, possibly getting your package opened, delaying the shipping process.

That was funny, I would like to have seen the look on all the postal workers that read that label. Thanks for making my day brighter

If anyone asks you what you are shipping, tell them to f-off. Not exactly like that they might go postal on you lol. Just tell them that it's really not their business, but that it is perishable/fragile... and make sure to piock up some tyvek envelopes while your there!
