Isolating the vocals from a song?

So can anybody help me here I'm trying to make a mix with this song but I only want the vocals.
I've tried the audacity way but you need an instrumental of the song which i can't find anywhere (there is one but its just a loop of the intro and so doesn't work)
So do you guys know any other ways of isolating the vocals from a song?
Or if you would like to do it for me I would be eternally gratefull :smile:

As far as I know - its near impossible to remove just a single element of a mix (drums, guitar, vocals... bass..) if its already been bounced down to a single stereo track. That is unless you have the instrumental version and just put that 180 degrees out of phase with the original :tongue:

This is true. If you bring the stereo tracks into protools or whatever system you use, and put one track out of phase. Then pan both to mono, you will remove whatever was residing in the centre (most likely vocals and bass). Sounds thin and shitty but it's a poor mans vocal removal. If the vocals are all over the mix then this will not work. Your best bet is to find a karoake version or record it yourself!
Oh shit, i just saw ISOLATE the vocals! as in remove music? Just get Angela from Bones to do it, her fake software can do ANYTHING!
