Ya, Capsa was one of the original cling ons that jumped on the bandwagon when dubstep was first emerging.  Back then everyone was getting famous with shitty synth and drums if they were in the right place at the right time

Then the big boys like kryptic minds started jumping in and showing em how its done

nice1 I'm 21 and I despise dubstep. It's party music. It's music to be enjoyed when you're fucked up.

The only time I've enjoyed listening to dubstep, I was on molly.

you shouldn't have to be fucked up just to think something sounds cool.

i dont think dubstep is simply 'party music' theres plenty of dub out there that would suck ass at a party....

i listen to dub because i like the sound enginering, and crazy sounds that make you go :zomgwtf:

i can also generaly appreciate ANY good/well made music even if i dont listen to it, i think your missing the point if you write off an entire genre
but yeah there are some incredibly talented db artists out there eg>>>>

Honestly this song didn't really do anything for me either, very repetitive and boring. This type of dubstep isn't something I'd see myself chilling to whilst out at a club anyway, so one could say the same thing about your taste in music.

I'd say it's more about personal interests rather than whether or not we have good taste in music.  For instance, when it comes to electronic music, I think this totally pwns the stuff you linked:

I get so sick of people pushing what they think is the "bomb" on other people.  Just deal with the realization that not everyone likes the same things.

I think it sounded like shit.  Truly.  And to say I have no taste in music because I feel that way is ridiculous.

I'm a very musical inclined person and not liking dubstep doesn't change that.

I find myself sometimes "pushing" what I think is the cat's meow on people and when they don't like it, I almost feel offended.  Then I realize how ridiculous I'm being.

this one has the best drop for :deemsters: blastin off through hyperspace.

wobbles without melody makes my brain hurt.

in closing i think, with the way dub is these days, calling the songs i posted dubstep is a little discrediting.

Not really, unless the only electronic music you're aware of is dubstep.  A lot of hiphop beats are electronic, they aren't aimed for drug use.

Not really, unless the only electronic music you're aware of is dubstep.  A lot of hiphop beats are electronic, they aren't aimed for drug use.


i said most not all, was thinking more along the lines, of house, minimal, techno, hardstyle, hardore, dnb, breaks, trance..... to name a few

im aware of and listen to a wide range of electronic music :shrug:

id much rather be listening to some minimal techno while rolling than dubstep.... anyway lol
