whats wrong with me? is this normal?

im tired and grumpy all the time and im only 27. the past few nights im dead asleep by 9pm, i never want to do anything, and im always in a bad mood.

could there be something wrong with me or am i just in a weird funk. i hate it because i was always the one FULL of energy, ready to do anything, and was ALWAYS happy.

maybe depression? im not sure what to do and if i cant get this fixed i only see this getting worse.

a buddy of mine has diabetes and says he has to take naps during the day and if his sugar level is off then he will become irritated quickly.

I don't know where you live but what you describe sounds like seasonal depression where I live.  Like clockwork, starting in october as the days get shorter and the weather gets colder, I get depressed, irritable, and sleep way too much.  You have to get outside early (sucks getting up earlier) and get natural light shining on your face for 20-30 minutes.  It's the only remedy that works other than taking an antidepressant.

yeah, but there always seems to be change. there is a lot of negative shit going on right now, all over the place.

at work, at home, our living situation, my relationship, whats going on around us in the nation and the world...

if we are talking about drugs in general, heres a list of shit ive taking in the past year.

its been awhile since i had a shroom trip, but im sure this falls into the past year category

i dont feel like listing anymore, but i can assure you that drugs are not a stranger in my life.

maybe thats the problem... im not an addict, but sometimes enough is enough.

Maybe your body is crapping out for some reason.  You mentioned how your fat diabetic friend has to nap frequently, maybe you have diabetes?  If I were you, I would go to the doctor and tell him about your symptoms.  You never know, could be something serious.  :shrug:

thats what im thinking.

i have a horrible drug history and i drink all the time. if its not diabetes...

i think there is something wrong. could just be depression though. either way, i need to set up a primary doctor and get the ball rolling... i do pay for insurance.

This could also be a possibility for me. I consume way too many sugary beverages and derive way too many of my calories from junk food. Let it be noted however I am NOWHERE near obese, nor even slightly overweight. My BMI is 21.

For me shift work is a part of my problem. Just to get 35 hours in a week which is the minimum of what I need in order to pay my bills, I have to work 7 days a week, multiple shifts 4 of those days. The first shifts start in the early AM lasts two to four hours, then the second shift starts at 9PM and lasts three to four hours. The Saturday and Sunday shifts are during times I would normally be sleeping during the week... I have NO regular schedule and its really wearing on me mentally and physically. I wish I didn't have to work the schedule I do, but for now its either work that schedule or ruin my credit and get evicted... Not really a tough decision. Unfortunately unless I get a second job I don't see anything changing anytime soon.
