Dear Singers:
I know you're all mildly insane corporate assholes who do nothing but sniff coke, hold people at gunpoint and are responsible for the death of pop music. But will you kindly step back from your "cash is king" attitude, and lift your nose from the coke plate for a second to do some work?

I sent you the tapes of my vocal performance months ago, and you have missed the deadline by several weeks. You have not yet remixed my singing and produced the gold-worthy record I requested. But really, what else do you expect from singers? All you care about is your coke and how to force your insane ideas on musicians and vocalists until they snap. And in the end you walk away with all the cash, and jack off while you block videos on youtube.

Just would like to throw it out there that I occasionally do graphic design and when I am asked to do projects for free I am slack as fuck, its hard to find motivation to do something so time consuming for free. But when someone throws money my way Im on it non-stop. Not all designers (or in your case, coders) are lazy.

You dont have to prove nothing to me little buddy, but you can keep telling yourself whatever makes you feel better. Maybe if you didnt talk so much shit about your graphic designers you would have the work done already. They probably think youre just a dickcheese and want to just make you wait. And if you didnt pay them first they wouldve had it done a long time ago. That shit takes one week tops. So gtfo the shroomery and email your designers if its such a problem. nobody here can help you, and this is probably the wrong place to come badmouthing designers anyway.

Just wanted to throw that out there.

I wouldn't disagree if someone said there were more slackers in the Graphic Design field than any other possible degree program.

Fair enough, I'd place less importance on free jobs as well, that's totally understandable. I know they're not all lazy, but so far I'm at 0/5 and I've done lots of research before using anybody. It's really frustrating, especially b/c it's costing me the ability to sign new clients.


The key is to make out a contract first, let them know they'll be paid after all files and designs are sent. They will get the work done alot faster this way. And look for sites that do a rating system, like if they screw u over you can give them a bad rating for others to see. i think mintees is the only good site open anymore but it might be invitation only. No job takes over a week unless the client just wants to nitpick too much.

It is bullshit, its like your girlfriend saying, "I sent the text I promise, idk how you didnt get it. Towers must be down" Or some shit like that. Threaten them if it comes down to it, because I mean they're all just a bunch of nerds right? Raise their heart rate a little when they read your email, then they'll know you mean business. If they took on a job that means they had the time to do it, you dont get "swamped" after someone sends you a job to where it causes your current work to be delayed because you had your shit approved to get done beforehand anyways so you have seniority.

I think you just need to find a bette place to hire a designer. Most of those actual designing companies will give you the run around like that because they take on more work than they can handle. You would be better off hiring a real freelancer. For example, when i was designing i only worked on one project at a time. And tell the other customers that im currently working on a project and give a time estimate. See if you can get  into mintees. that is by far the best place to go. No graphic design job should take more than a week or two. and thats a full clothing line with a website. I guarantee they are just doing other projects right now and havent started yet or just dont want to do it. If i have a customer that just wants to low ball on the price, and be extremely to demanding i tell him to go somewhere else. i have enough loyal customers.

This dude is a straight little girl. After getting nasty with everyone, insulting all graphic designer including myself, i still gave him positive helpful information to prevent him from getting ripped off in the future by other designers. And he turns around and gives me a bad rating.. and tried to make it seem that im ripping people off on this site. i dont trade or sell anything on this site. so i could care less.lol. All i did was try to help you out, and youre just nasty because someone ripped you off. Period. So sit and think for a minute, and wonder to yourself why you've gotten ripped off five times in a row from different people. its not the designers its you. Also, you never send payments first,- once again, just trying to help you out.
