I won't say it's the "best", because that's too nonspecific of a description, too self righteous.


But I will say it's probably the most violent rivalry in football.













#1 and #2 defenses in the league facing off, as it's pretty much always been for the past decade.

Pittsburgh is going to win. I give them the advantage only because they are playing at home. I expect it to be a very close game. Steelers by a FG, 20-17

I really hope it's another Ravens routing...but that's definitely not gonna happen, especially at Heinz Field.  I absolutely hate it when we play there...all those fuckers with their yellow towels  :angrydog:

It's going to be a different story from the first game.  It seems like both teams are in very different mindsets.


In the first game, Ravens were bloodthirsty for revenge, focused, angry.  Pittsburgh was on a Super Bowl hangover, distracted.



This time around the Steelers are pissed because of the previous asswhooping, and are coming off a good win against the Patriots.  The Ravens have struggled a bit in recent games, but they're gonna bring it.



Last time around Pitt also had around 7 turnovers, which one can easily make an arguement for being a fluke.

I saw on Inside the NFL that Pittsburgh's defense is like 5 years younger than that first game.

Yeah, they're using alot of backups right now.


Sylvester's in for Farrior, Chris Carter and Jason Worilds are splitting time for the injured Harrison, Casey Hampton's not in on as many plays, Evander Hood's been getting more time over Aaron Smith, and Keenan Lewis has been getting more play time over William Gay.



Some of it is changing guard, some of it is replacing temporary injury.


Sylvester's one of those backups who's always shown potential on special teams.  Farrior's definitely getting older and significantly slower, but he's only out due to injury.

Jason Worilds is another promising rookie.  In fact, alot of the young guys getting more playing time were recent 1st round and 2nd/3rd round picks from the past couple drafts.

It wouldnt surprise me to see Pittsburg have a breakout game against the Ravens, Ray Lewis aint what he used to be:oldman:
