Those Iraqi deaths are mostly due to bombings and infighting between Iraqis that would happen regardless. Not soldiers with bloodlust. Another thing that boils my blood is stating that people support the war because it's "cool." That's insulting and childish. People support the war because they recognize that it's a good cause.
Me i am equating the war in the middle east as genocide, not deployment. i am saying to support your friends by getting them the fuck out of there. and saying that it is mostly infighting is bullshit. we may not have shot every innocent person killed but the majority of those deaths would still not have happened if we were not there and to say otherwise is just stupid and regurgitating what our government wants us to think. and people do support the war because its cool. i have never met a single person who supports the war that knew how many civillian casualties there have been and most thought it was maybe a couple thousand in freak accidents. why do people support things that they dont know anything about other than from our biased media and government? because its "cool" now. and it isnt an accident the government wants us to think supporting the military is patriotic. well i call bullshit being a patriotic american means standing up shit when its wrong not just following blindly behind the support the troops banner. you know as an american citizen not enlisted in the military I have a higher chance of being murdered than you do so really it is the people not enlisting risking their lives for our country. How in the fuck is it a good cause?

Him There's been 150,000 CIVILIAN casualties at most. That's ridiculous if you consider past wars. In WWII, it was anywhere from 37-55 million. In Vietnam, a mid-level estimate puts it at around 850,000. Considering that this war has been one of the longest in US history, that's pretty damn good. It's not genocide. That's pure, bleeding-heart ignorance. You want to hear about a real genocide? Look up the numbers on abortion.
Me and that is a 100% lie that is what our government claims and the media circulates most reputable sources puts it at at least one million. ill admit that i did put the higher end estimate but that is also the one with the most research behind it from my understanding. the low end estimate of just iraq is 800,000.
Me the lowest credible esimate for iraq and afghanistan is around 900,000, refering to my last sentence. i put just iraq mistakenly.

Me. thats a bit hypocritical. i know where your information came from and why it is wrong. you did not even read the link i provided. you are giving the IBC which is how many theyve counted. well thats all well and good exept for the fact that they dont report the majority of the deaths; my information is based on the only period that someone tried to keep track. all youve done from the start is twist my words to say things that arent true then say im wrong because the mangled version of what i said is false. then you give false information and wont look into any of the figures ive provided. and claim its a good cause but cant give a single reason why. im actually disappointed i thought an argument with you would be a bit more interesting but you failed to provide a single valid counterpoint. and there is a legitimate argument against what i'm saying but you failed to present it. this discussion is pointless and its because you obviosly have no clue what youre talking about. maybe before you tell someone else they wont look into data you provided, which i did, you should look into theirs.
