Any of you tried it? Its just rice, hard boiled eggs and smoked haddock. Can't get enough of the stuff. My granny makes it every now and again and I usually end up consuming the whole baking dish of it so I'm gonna start making it myself.

Share your recipe (or your grandma's)! I've heard of it, but never tried it. Looks interesting though.

i would try it. I like Ackee and Saltfish. I ate it almost every morning in Jamaica. and eggs Benedict.

Don't have a recipe yet but I know its all about the smoked haddock. I've tasted it when smoked salmon was used as a substitute for the haddock and it wasn't the same thing at all. The first time I nearly choked to death on a fish bone was eating this stuff lol. I'm gonna try this recipe:

Oh nice, Jamie has a recipe. I like that; he usually does an alright job striking a compromise between authenticity and using ingredients that are easy to get hold of. Thanks for posting :thumbup:

I got the recipe from my granny and all she puts in it is rice, boiled eggs, smoked haddock and cream. This is why I don't like recipes on the internet or in cookbooks, they usually include all sorts unnecessary ingredients instead of just telling you the bare necessities. I couldn't find any smoked haddock so I tried smoked mackerel instead and it turned out well. I'd advice against using smoked salmon though, I've had it with salmon before and it was horrible in comparison.
