How do you know if you are in or out of the matrix?  Are we real or just a dream?  This is one of the most fundamental questions in modern philosophy.  PKD writes about this a lot in his SF novels.

I have no idea.  All i know is that i dont know in the big picture of things.  I am pretty sure orginized religion is more or less a group fantasy though.  Not 100% certain but i get the feeling religious dont even believe it themselves on a deep level, it seems more or less a socially kept thing.               

I feel like this world is some of matrix, but not in such a way that we are plugged into a program.  I feel more like maybe we are some sort of dream manifesting itself but i also feel like ultimately were all just animals and maybe this world is just random.  :shrug:

Maybe there is something deeper going on though but i dont know.

that would be truly horrible. that being said, if you like the matrix i suggest you read grant morrison's the invisibles, which is what the matrix is largely based off of.

seriously. i loved the first movie and the animatrix, but nothing touches the invisibles.
