"THE ALGORITHM is a one-man-band created in France in 2009 by Rémi Gallego. Oscillating between dubstep, ambient, mathcore and progressive metal, he released his first demo called « The Doppler Effect » in December 2009, then a second one called « CRITICAL.ERROR » in July 2010."



this is ideal for fans of metal and dubstep, and progressive music in general. In other words, this shit is FUCKING SICK.

Glad you guys dig it, def not my cup o' tea.

I do not necessarily hear anything revolutionary in the production/engineering work.  Metal loops with some heavy EQ work piled on top of some other elements, and some standard dubstep.

I have had metal fazes, as well as dubstep, but this just seems messy.

I would probably enjoy it more if I Was really pisssed of or something.

:shrug:  certainly not amateur work though.

Here is something similar that I find to be along the same lines but, (from my perspective) has a lil more of an intelligent design.

The point is to be fairly messy though - that's where the mathcore influence comes in :awesome: and if you don't dig the eclectic nature of that genre nothing will change your opinion...

I for one think it's refreshing to hear something with a bit of electronic influence that doesn't sit in 4/4 time and ride the same tempo/drum beat the entire song through.

I did not want to further an argument based on music which is a relative nature.  I could go on for days about the about the technical production work, but I will leave it to those who enjoy it. no need to spread negativity.

I'm interested in your opinion :awesome: I think the electronic aspects of their music could use better sound design and the mixing a bit of work but its the whole concept that draws me in.
