Made in the same factory as Giant bikes. It's basically a Giant frame, with a different name on it.

hey buddy got a question for ya.

i'm 6'5 about 230, wondering how that frame/company would do with a guy like me riding?

is it possible for me to get a bike that will support my weight and still be a lot of fun?

idc if it's a mountain, road, or hybrid bike, just getting into the scene.

thanks.

Any steel frame that's tall enough for you should be fine.

The fork is a Suntour SF9-XCM-V2 with 100mm of travel. It's actually kind of a crappy fork, but it does the job. If I were to do it over again, I would have gotten a bike with a better fork and disc brakes. Then again, that would easily be over $1000.

Like $500 bucks now. cheap, but hard to find as its an old model

i miss my old wethepeople 4seasons setup. my bike got stolen 6 years ago but i still have the mindset of a rider; staring at 3ft ledges wondering why there's no tire marks along the side.

i found an old macneil "ruben" frame in my garage that needs to get built asap. but the days have changed and it's hard finding old reliable parts without the ugly loud colors.

the dreams of riding again never end.

Just saw this thread, two days ago I picked up one of these, an 08 Schwinn Madison (not mine but very close):

I paid $320 and it came with an upgraded stem, fork, handlebars and pedals. Got a free gel seat for it too. I love it, converted it from a fixie to a single speed already, now I just gotta buy some lights and thangs.

Thanks y'all, I'm really happy with it, glad I didn't buy the Giant bike that the bike store guy tried to sell me.

This is my first bike in a decade or so, it :feelsgoodman: to ride again!

The particular bike I posted is just a cheaper hybrid model I use to get around town. I'm 6'2", and honestly, it's a tad too small for me. I got it because it was nice enough, and I had to have a bike. I had a nicer 26" Jamis mountain bike, but it was stolen a couple months ago, so I had to buy something with the little spare cash I had. I think any frame that's big enough for your height will hold you, so long as it's not a department store bike, ya know. But this particular model would probably be too small.

Those bikes without brakes scare me. How would you stop if your foot slipped or your chain broke?
