Pink Buffalo help!

Hey everyone!

Here's a little background:
I have grown a few of the Golden Teachers. I know basic methods and concepts. But I am in NO way experienced. I am new to growing, and just looking for some help.

I got ahold of some pink buffalo from a friend, and let me put this simply.. I want them.

From what I've researched the cake method seems to be the best for pink buffalo. I can get ahold of spores and what not, so that shouldn't be a problem. But I've heard PB seems to be fond of poo. Now, living in Texas, finding poo is the least of my worries. I know the method for cleaning (for lack of a better word) the poo, and all of this. But how do I use the poo, and in what measurements?

Also, is PB fond of anything different from normal grow procedures? IE higher temps, more humidity, etc?

Any of this information and more is welcome! Hints, links to guides, and personal experience is greeted with open arms!

The strain of cubensis is irrelevent. The parameters and substrates are the same.

PF Tek is a waste of time. Learn to make spawn and work with bulk substrates like manure, straw, and coir.

What kind of bulk tek would you recommend with manure?

Get some wild bird seed from WalMart, and follow one of the WBS teks on here. Depending on what part of TX you live in there are some stores that will sell virtually everything you need in one place.

someone mentioned using wild bird seed for spawn.  while that works great, i would recommend using rye berries.  it's more idiot proof.

While I haven't used the PFTek in over 5 years it is probably the easiest beginner method and is harder to fuck up than doing bulk. Like was said above, strain is irrelevent when it comes to growing conditions. You can use any method you want for any of them.

If you have grown before and trust your sanitation skills and are good at following instructions then there is no reason not to do a bulk grow. However if you do a single bulk tub and it becomes contaminated its done. If you do PFTek jars you can toss any that become contaminated to keep the others. Really just personal preference and what you want to accomplish.
