Mexico in August?

I'm planning a trip to Mexico in August..7th to 14th and I'm trying to figure out where to go.

I really want to go to Cancun, I'm just not sure about the weather.
I don't want to be caught in a hurricane.

I'm looking for heat and beautiful blue water!

Anyone ever vacationed in Mexico in August??

Cancun, Cabo San Lucas, Acapulco...all very nice places to vacation at and cheaper than the states too. I think August is an excellent month to visit Mexico at...but be ready for the heat.

i just came back from cabo on sat. it felt like a giant shopping mall in the desert. besides the touristy shit, it was a nice place and i really enjoyed my stay. you have a point regarding the Caribbean weather, but it would be totally cool to see the pyramids!

you will have an amazing time!! I grew up in cabo. i once ate breakfast under that arch :laugh:, but the arch is rarely exposed like that, that sand is usually covered in water. It is also one crazy party city! there is so much nightlife its insane. enjoy your trip!! i so wish to go back there and visit!

Were staying at the riu santa fe. I think it's fairly new. But a 5 minute water taxi to lovers beach.

I can't wait to go!!

Lucky! lovers beach is pretty cool to just relax and chill. And if you like fresh fish, cabo has so much fresh seafood and fish for pretty cheap prices. Are you going with family?

Don't worry.

There's nothing going on in Cabo. Most of the tourist spots are pretty safe, for the most part.

Cabo is really safe. Besides if you dont leave your resort you will miss the incredible night life.

It all depends on what we feel like! My resort is about 15 minutes away from the city, So it's not really far or anything.

I want to find a foam party :datass:

Damn its going to be very nice....I've been there once before and to Cancun during U.S. spring break....shit gets wild there during March. Some places you just pay like $30-40 to get in and you can drink as much as you want :strokebeard:

cabo seems to exist, for the most part, for the purpose of catering to tourists. it seems really safe. i think a lot of the local folks would be pissed if some criminals came through and made it seem like a bad place to go. i feel much less safe walking around certain areas of san francisco at night.

if you need weed, they will hook you up on the beach. but you have to haggle and haggle something ridiculous because they're all trying to make as much as possible from your fat american pocket.
