Summer Solstice 2011, The Suns Getting High * 1

Well, tomorrow is that wonderful day, a day that is revered and feared by many cultures around the world. Summer Solstice (celebrated as "Midsummer" in many countries) is almost here (and for some of you it has already arrived).

So light the bonfires and pick the calendula leaves, perhaps you'll get lucky and the spirits will leave you alone. Perhaps you'll get even luckier and they won't

I will be tripping tomorrow, as I always try to do.

The solstice is the only "holiday" i whole heartedly celebrate and believe in

As it signifies the end of a long age of dearth and the return of glorious sunlight

i'd love to be trippin' tomorrow. instead, i'll be working my ass off cleaning homes for rich folks. C'est la vie.

I was just reading some more about the history of Midsummer Solstice celebrations and saw that the Romans used to celebrate Summer Solstice on the 24th of June. So I could celebrate Solstice on Tuesday and Friday and do it up good on Friday night :thumbup:

Totally random aside. My housemate bought some really good herb the other day (we split an eighth) and i just had to share this pic of a nug with y'all. The kind is so good:
