postage stamp missing on my letter

idk how it is in the states or whatever, but i received a letter from another country with no postage stamp on it as it should have. i mean it has the stamp of the country that sent it but not the received one. does this mean it went straight to customs :frown: ?

Some countries use electronic postage stamping. Are there serial numbers or ink that indicates postage was paid?

Either way, don't worry about customs. If there was a problem, you wouldn't have the package but instead you would have what's known as a "bright white love letter" that informs you of the confiscation.

Even then, they usually don't do shit.

Edit: the "stamp of the received country." Like an indication it was processed? yea, maybe it just flew straight through - especially if it was small.

i've gotten their loveletter once... it was pretty shitty to be interrogated in the back of the post office.

there was only the sender's country stamp on it, no markings on my end. for all i know someone might have slipped it in my post box.

i've heard stories about people ordering cannabis seeds (illegal here to bring into the country) and the customs letting it through on purpose & then come knockin on your door 2 months later to confiscate your 2cm plant. thats technically a felony by the cops but they let it happen in order to get a bigger bust so to speak. haven't heard it happening recently though.

the envelope was small with 2 syringes in it (without a needle). i just think its suspicious.

Just to offer a comparison:

Someone recently received a small envelope from the UK containing RCs. The only things present on the outside in addition to receiver's address, was a stamp from the country of origin and a small sticker that says "air mail."

There was NO indication of having gone through customs, nor was there a sender's address.

i dont wanna get a friend into trouble for something i may be doing. i mean, its my responsibility in the end. thats how i see it.

ive also recieved rc's from half way around the world and it came through fast & fine.

I was just trying to explain that the package basically looked like a mail courier just dropped it in a box - no indications of being processed whatsoever.

What?  You ship something to their house, then you take it to your house in a rented vehicle.  If the cops come to search there's nothing at your friend's house...

For what it's worth, you're fine.

Without divulging a millions stories to ease your worries, it's safe to say if a couple of syringes made it through then you're alright. No biggie.
