For me, sandals are a warm weather thing. I always look forward to not having to wear socks, to let my feet be free in the nice warm summer weather and only having to wear sandals. Wearing socks defeats the purpose of that :shrug:

This is definitely something common of the PNW.
People in Seattle walk around in Birkenstocks and socks all the time.
I don't understand it...it's like they want to wear the sandal, but it's always too fuckin cold to go without socks. In which case...why not just wear shoes?

if you're already wearing the socks and you just need to hit up the corner store, there's an undeniable slack ass appeal of hopping into some sandals and going... but not for your daily routine...

sandals w/ socks =/= shoes from a practical standpoint.

for me, sandles work in 75+ degree temps.

sandles with socks work in 60+ degree temps.

seldom is it over 75 all day and night, at east where I live.

and with socks and sandals you get perfect ventilation and a degree of warmth.

can't argue taste, but you can argue the COLD, HARD, MOTHERFUCKING FACTS.

yeah sandles are supposed to be for when u want to walk outside on the ground but also want cool breeze from the wind to keep ur feet from stankin up ur house when u get back home

This. I hate sweaty sock feet!

The ONLY time I give in to sandals with socks is when I have to go outside to get something from my car, etc. And don't feel like digging around for my shoes. The sandals are always there conveniently by the door :snub:

You guys are some weird foot aficiandos, ventilation? Right degree of warmth? are you really serious? I wear sneakers even in the summer-time, I have some that aren't as thick as others and never had any overheating issues, if i just want to feel free, flip-flops baby, I don't even own sandals, I don't like them, get why people are wearing them, but no thanks.

Anyway, think of the children, ween yourself of the sandals/socks combo, everytime someone walks out like that God kills a kitten!

Fuck yeah you gotta have ventilation! It's weird, in the winter time, my feet are blocks of ice and have hardly any circulation, but in the summer time, I have sweaty socks :sad:
