Fuck Mike Vick. Paid his dues my ass, the guy served less than 2 years. Lost all his money but is once again employed by the NFL so who gives a shit. I know a guy who served 8 just for helping plan a robbery. If it was a drug ring instead of dog fighting they'd put him away for a decade. But fuck it, he's a football player and just killed some dogs right?

Recognize him for his athletic merits all you want. The guy is a great quarterback. But I'm sick of people talking about the dude like it's some Cinderella story. The guy is still a complete piece of shit.

I'm hardly saying that. Though I doubt Vick gives 2 shits about those dogs outside of what was court ordered or set up by his publicist so forgiveness probably isn't appropriate.

What I am saying is the guy has hardly "paid his dues." The guy serves less than 2 years and rebounds into an NFL pay check. Plenty of people get far worse for doing far less. And afterward their job prospects as a felon are non-existent.

No, what you are saying is that you are the ultimate judge of whether Vick has reformed or not.  Who are you to say if the man deserves to be in jail?  It seems to me as if he really regrets his actions, has a genuine desire to better himself, and spent two years of his life in prison.  Not to mention the complete destruction of his reputation.

All I'm saying is that you are in no position to judge his personal legal situation.  The man plays good football, and the best anyone other than his layer and judge can do is criticize his playing.

Also, FWIW, I think he is a sick fuck for what he did, but I won't dispute his right to play football.

yeah, he probably should have spent more time in prison, but the shit is situational. not to be crude, but from a capitalist and societal standpoint, wasting the peak playing years and a potential 50 million dollars or more is a little tougher to lay on someone compared to some crack head gangsta that robbed a liquor store at gun point.

2) yeah, because Tony Romo will eventually come into his own.

Listen I hate the Cowboys far more than the Eagles. But, with Romo, or Ryan, or Flacco, or even Kolb, you might have a chance- with Mexico the final outcome is a foregone conclusion, failure.
