Hah.

This is a specific halal friendly KFC store in Sydney/Australia that doesn't serve any pork products.

i don't know if it's the language, his voice or what, he just threw a toddler tantrum, it's not like someone asked for a fried leg of his mother.

Vegetarianism is weird to me, in any form. How do you draw the line? it's so vague whenever i ask people why they don't eat meats, they can never explain themselves well enough, usually.

Muslims aren't vegetarian, they're not allowed to eat pork products amongst other things.

From wiki

Quote:
Explicitly forbidden substances
A variety of substances are considered as harmful (haraam) for humans to consume and, therefore, forbidden as per various Quranic verses:
Pork (i.e., flesh of pig)[Qur'an 2:173]
Blood[Qur'an 2:173]
Animals slaughtered in the name of anyone but Allah. All that has been dedicated or offered in sacrifice to an idolatrous altar or saint or a person considered to be "divine"[Qur'an 2:173] [Qur'an 5:3]
Carrion (carcasses of dead animals)[Qur'an 2:173]
An animal that has been strangled, beaten (to death), killed by a fall, gored (to death), savaged by a beast of prey (except by a human)[Qur'an 5:3]
Food over which Allah's name is not pronounced (or at least not in a name other than Allah)[Qur'an 6:121]
Alcohol and other intoxicants[Qur'an 5:090]

As for your question of why people don't eat meat, it's very simple.

Some don't eat meat for religion, some don't eat meat for moral/compassion reasons and others don't eat meat for health. All very valid reasons.

I didn't mean to say Islam was a vegetarian religion, only that not eating pork is a form of vegetarianism.

Religion forces me to not eat certain meats, the book tells me to.

Empathy tells me not to eat meat, i have found the line of consciousness i won't consume.

Health concerns tell me not to eat meat, even though humanity is designed as an omnivorous creature to best deal with it's environment.

Nonsense to me, i haven't been able to help it yet

Humans and extending there compassion to food animals  If I want to blow a exit wound the size of a small tangerine out the side of a deer so I can feed myself so what? yeah it hurts and he doesnt like it. That much is obvious, its fuckin dieing. But im hungry so his time is up. Its the way life is, at least he had a good free life to roam around and do his thang. Long as you respect it giving up its life to sustain you to the fullest extent, and you dont waste anything. There aint a damn thing wrong about something so natural. Theres nothing saying you cant eat meat in moderation and still be healthy as any vegetarian out there either.

I'm vegetarian (vegan, actually) and I don't see why it is hard to understand.  I try to avoid animal protein in the food that I eat.  For me, it is about healthy eating.  I'm not militant about it... if I end up getting animal protein in something, I don't go ballistic or freak out... but if I can avoid it, I do so.  It isn't a big deal and not something that I judge others or expect others to follow.

Designed?  Designed by who?  In my opinion, humans are not designed, but have evolved and been shaped by our environment.  Regardless, by avoiding animal products, I avoid all of the chemicals (antibiotics, hormones, etc) that they put into farmed animals to raise the profit margins.  I buy mostly locally grown organic produce from the farmers market.  If free range meat were an option where I live, I might consider it from time to time.

Getting back on topic...

If the guys filming the KFC thing were planning on stirring trouble, wouldn't they have started filming when they walked in rather than after the employee started throwing his temper tantrum?

Also, it sounds like the guy is upset at being called "a bitch" more than anything to do with pork.  Perhaps I misunderstood what he says... as he goes around the corner, it sounds like he screams "don't call me a bitch" and a few seconds later one of the customers replies, "bitch".
