I saw a shooting star and the moon. Then the clouds came. :frown:

Remember what you saw. The next lunar eclipse like this won't happen for another couple hundred years.

There's supposed to be a minor meteor shower tonight.  Nothing spectacular but if you're out you should see some.

Just as a point about clarity. Being directly overhead should give better clarity since there is less atmosphere in the way than if it is low on the horizon.

The HDR didn't turn out great but you can see the different shadows of earth.

awesome shots man, me and some friends watched it, we had partial cloud cover for most of it so we saw a shadow cover the moon but it was cool nonetheless, i was drinking some winter solstice ale from anderson valley. it was a good accompaniment to the night.

3rd one in 2000 years to fall on the solstice, give or take.

It was great, I also had a few shooting stars and a hoot owl hootin for me...and a low fog but a really clear sky! Awesome event!

Haha definitely saw it. May be like 3min before a total eclipse! It was beautiful. It had a very nice long tail.

It was too cloudy.
It was really windy though so I kept checking, I had to bring a massive blanket outside because it was so fucking cold.

It was worth freezing my ass off in -20F weather to stare at for a while, I was high as a kite and my HPPD was making it dance in the sky and sparkle with red energy, I gotta say it was pretty cool.
