Honestly I've never really been a fan of his music but I respected him more than almost any other musician. RIP Beefheart.

RIP Don.  I remember the first time I heard the music of Beefheart, it was Hair Pie Bake: 2 off of Trout Mask Replica.. it was so angular, chaotic, and frantic yet at the same time so technical and beautiful.  He will definitely be remembered as one of the most unique musicians of our time.


I suggest to anyone who has never heard him, and likes experimental/unique music to at least check his stuff out on youtube.It may not sink in at first, it may take a couple listens, but its worth it and it will blow your mind.
