just watched inception on acid

meh.

it was kind of interesting at first, but the whole plotline with the wife got pretty tiresome and forced after a while. I felt like it was the same "oh the memory of my dead wife and our children are haunting my subconscious" from that other movie that Dicaprio was in, Shutter Island.

And towards the end it all just got way too tense. Now I'm coming down and I don't feel right. I feel all wound up and worried.

And the whole time you're like "oh, at the end he's gonna wake up and it's gonna be another dream within a dream" and they try to leave it with no resolution but they kinda fail and either way you don't care whether he's comepletely delusional because it was just a dumb action movie with a dream within a dream trope...

blah. pretty disappointed.

i have never enjoyed watching a movie while tripping on any substance...i cant think of a bigger waste of a trip than sitting in front of a TV.

i have attempted movies before and every single time i just turn it off and go outside.

I thought it was pretty obvious that he wasn't awake at the end since the top was still spinning as the movie fades out?

I liked it. :shrug:

I really enjoyed it as well, all though the wife part did seem forced.

Im gonna give it another try, but I gotta be in the right mood to watch it! I thought the concept of it was amazing, and the special effects were also quite awesome. No all I need is to be in the right mind-set.

South park's spoof episode calls out inception for what it is, garbage.  A mix of a bunch of other movies, nothing new or groundbreaking, needlessly convoluted, and boring.

Really?  I'm pretty sure the whole point of the ending was that it fades out while the top hasn't been spinning for very long (ie it wouldn't have fallen yet even if he wasn't dreaming), and so they leave you unsure of whether he's dreaming or not.
