you'd have to be a major fucking addict to take something that rots your skin and keep taking it, how long does that shit stay in your system? sounds like major addicts, fucking major addicts in russia that is gross as fuck fucking need some serious rehab over there, at least in the u.s. the government spends a lot of money for people to go to rehab, guess it's worth it i thought we had it bad here

Here's a secret: if opiates were widely available in refined, reliably purified form, none of this shit would ever happen, and even the most irredeemable of junkies would never experience "irreversible destruction of the organism." Heroin overdoses would be as common as aspirin overdoses, if not for the fact that a heroin overdose is probably a more pleasant way to commit suicide.

(In fact, with legalization of heroin, we would probably see an unexpected fringe benefit: a sharp decline in aspirin overdoses.)

I disagree with "mentally you're screwed," quite strongly. Heroin makes violent criminals because its only home in the culture is with violent criminals.

sharing needles is one of the worst diseases there is, i've seen people do it, and it's a great way to spread h.i.v.


junkies don't think dude, and a junkie doesn't have to be any certain way the way people have to have a fighting personality to be in a gang. a junkie just has to be a junkie.


sure, making it illegal doesn't stop people from using it, but if you ever go to a rehab center you'll see all types of health problems from people getting fucked up. they may not have had much to begin with in the first place, but they sure screw themselves up none the less.


i do agree with one thing, crack is messed up, you need coke to make it though but you can have the worst coke and just cook it down from the baking soda and it's basically wack crack coke

but our worst crack is so much safer than that heroin crack bullshit

that much is true, but drugs do make people mentally screwed, it changes their chemistry, the way they think, the way their body works. I'm not a mormon freak giving a catholic lecture. I've seen this happen. People aren't the same, their brain chemistry changes and they think differently

I think you misunderstand the fundamental basis of the post you were responding to.

Crocodile rots your skin because of the clandestine methods used to produce it. The stuff is loaded with byproducts and contaminants that make you sick as fuck.

The desomorphine, itself, does not rot your skin. Nor does any opiate that has been produced and distributed according to regulation.

Needle-sharing is a byproduct of the situation in which an addict spends his life in pursuit of his Holy Grail, the substance to which he is addicted, and the needle is a secondary concern.

We see the same situation in America with methamphetamine, cocaine, and heroin. Weed and psychedelics have escaped this affair because God loves psychedelics.

(By which I mean weed is a plant and doesn't need to be synthesized, same with fungi, LSD is active at such low doses that contaminants are irrelevant, and research chemicals are legal to synthesize.)

I've said it once, I'll say it again: opiates are dangerous because they're illegal.

rehab doesnt exist in russia, they handcuff you to a bed with 50 other men in a room feed you only bread and water, for 27 days.

asfar as 'mentally screwed', well when you're an addict, and you're aware of the addiction, sure it changes you, the chemistry is altered, thats the nature of being an addict(junkie). I do believe however that that chemistry can revert back to its normal settings, and you can become 'mentally unscrewed' just as it takes years and years to become a addict(junkie) it takes years and years to get back in balance with your normal self. You can't just detox and expect to be "normal" again, it takes time, time to break habits, break thinking patterns, but as time progresses your rationality begins to shift back to its regular ways. and all is well in the jungle. you know tho naturally I think if a person does recover the curve of which they can become a addict again is far more sharp and severe. and only takes a one slip to go back to those old ways. :boobs:

with changes in legalities and with proper education, I think yes most if not all 'drugs' can be legal, and openly sold and possessed, all done in a safe manner. Look at all the other things that can get you high and kill you just as easily that are openly sold to anyone, but these drugs that are far more safe are controlled and regulated. this inturn makes these 'drugs' dangerous and highly criminalized in its business practices.

I think if opiates and what not were openly sold, OD's would drop sharply, robberies, murders etc.. etc.. would drop sharply, people who are junkies would be cared for by loved ones, and would be morally obligated to either clean up or be who they are. It is entirely possible for anyone to h and coke and be functional., Recreationally that is, alcohol is far more scary to me then someone all doped up//

yeah man, they refuse to even consider using things like subutex and suboxone. the only way they know is to lock you in a cell or put you in these detox centers, and maybe give you a couple sleeping pills. its pretty nuts. imagine having your legs skin rot off all whilst withdrawling. :facepalm:
