If you're gonna get the volvo, totally go for the station wagon.  Nobody expects them to be fun, are practical, and are reliable as all hell

Dont think it would have room for much engine upgrades either and thats the main reason for getting the 850 T5

850 t5 > bronco any fucking day.  more fun, more reliable, faster, and just as practical.  Plus, get some decent tires and it'll do just as well in the winter.  I drove a snow tired miata in 8 inches of snow last winter and holy piss was it fun.  I was flying past SUV's left and right.  Downside?  Nearly got rear ended by some hick with his pickup who thought he could out brake me since i was in a small car.  Point of story?  suv =/= better in snow.  I watched them get stuck on hills as i fuckin passed them

Depends how far you want to commute. They are great for shit in towns and stuff like that, but getting from city to city not so much.

whats the big difference between a longboard and a regular skateboard I know the shape and the wheels but what difference does that make in the way it rides?

The trucks are different (most people use reverse kingpin trucks as apposed to convention trucks like a street skateboard has) , the length is different ( usually for stability at speed). The larger wheels make the ride a lot smoother, but some brands are also fairly easy to do 180s and slides in general on.

Longboard can also have drops in the decks like this:



This particular board by Rayne (a Vancouver based company) has a dropped platform and drop through mounted trucks. This makes it really low to the ground and stable.


The trucks can be mounted differently on a longboard. They don't have to be topmounted (even though it is popular right now). They could be dropped through, where the trucks sit above the deck. This makes this more stable at speeds and it makes it easier to push. Top mounted trucks do have more grip to them because your weight can be right above the trucks though.

Longboards are generally more "carvy" and you can take them up to much higher speeds. For example the record right now is 88.8 mph on a longboard.

That's about all I can thing about right now.
