Snow!

Yep. Just got a random foot of snow last night!
The weather guy was like
"30% chance of snow showers, most likely won't amount to anything more than a dusting"
BOOM. One foot dropped son!
So..
I didn't do laundry either, I've been putting it off, and putting it off, so guess what I have clean?
a Tee-shirt and shorts! And I had to shovel! But you know what..
It was AWESOME!!! Shovel in shorts! I promise you won't be disapointed!
Fuck yeah! I Love snow!!!

We got 17" on Sat too! It was great except for the shoveling in -20F part, and the fact that my girlfriend was stuck 30mi away from me until the plows finally showed up at 5pm on Sunday night to dig her out...

yea it was awesome. that's one thing i like about living in South Central MN vs. the cities. you guys are fucked with your roads up there. it takes forever for you to dig out and get those side streets drive able again after it snows.
they closed all the roads down around here on saturday. my friend got home from leave on saturday and drove on them and stalled. he got a 1000$ fine and had to pay for the troopers assistance.

What was the fine for? $1000 seems pretty excessive!
I live in the south suburbs, and my road was plowed 4 times while I was awake on Sat, and then again Sat night! It was great, besides the fact that I had to shovel the end of the driveway every time the plow came by. My girlfriend on the other hand, lives in St. Paul, and her street is probably the last one to get plowed in the entire city! Last year, I didn't see pavement on her street from the middle of December until March. It was just a big lumpy icy snowy mess all winter long!

Wow that's crazy! I knew it was illegal to travel on a closed road, but didn't realize it was also illegal to break down. I also never imagined the fine would be that high!

yea my wife works for MNdot so i got the info right form the source. your putting yourself and whoever comes to help you at great risk. i guess just stay off the roads if they're closed. just a shitty way for my buddy to come home to.

I'm in Saint Paul too. My road just got plowed yesterday. I got stuck on the way to my final again though because plowing the road locked me into my alley. Saint Paul doesn't plow alleys. I'm so sick of shoveling. Luckily my neighbors helped me get out and got me to my final on time.

Ugh. Fuck snow right in the ass
I live in the burbs on a dead end street. We generally have 1-2 feet all season. Last night I couldn't even leave my house. It's like this every year for days-weeks on end. If I'm lucky the temp will shoot up too a whopping 34 degrees and the streets will clear out.
People in light/snow-free climates don't appreciate how good they have it.

That must suck to be literally snowed in. Do you just stock up on beer and buds and sit by the fireplace reading? That's what I would do if I was out there, sounds relaxing.

I shovel driveways, its good money if you live in the right neighborhood.
I pulled about 600 dollars in a single snowstorm last year
