Re-read the line I quoted above.  If you grow mushrooms that are contaminated with the penicillium fungus, the penicillium fungus is producing the chemical penicillin.  If you are allergic to penicillin, then you could have a reaction.  Not from the fungus, but from the chemical that the fungus is producing.

The cubensis mycelium network can draw nutrients, water, and toxins from far away and concentrate them in the fruit body.  If you doubt this, put a drop or three of copper II sulfate (in solution) on a fruiting cake and watch what happens.  (If you do this, don't eat the dead fruit or cake!)

If you read any of my posts in the contamination forum, then you know that I tend to error on the side of extreme caution.  I have worked in a lab and have seen first hand how bad some of these can be.  Too many people on here post about a casing or cake that is covered in 'green mold', but think the fruit is ok to eat.  There are many 'green molds' and penicillium is one of them.  Is a life really worth risking against a trip?

If I were the poster and wanted to eat shrooms, I would only eat ones that I had grown myself and knew to be free of anything even remotely odd.  I would not trust anything grown by a friend, and especially not anything from a dealer.  If my allergy was very sensitive, I would try one of several different drugs instead such as DMT or salvia or mescaline or LSD  or mdma or even DXM.  Of course I am not the poster, so...
