shrooms and penicillin... please * 1

I've been reading posts on here saying noth that there is and isn't penicillin in shrooms.  :confused: I don't think that shrooms contain penicillin, but I am concerned that it may happen that some of the penicillin mould has grown on them... Is there a way to make sure there is none of that mould on it? Would it help if I washed the shrooms before digesting them?

There is no penicillin in shrooms,if there was it would be noticable and inhibit the growth of the shrooms. Even if there was the slightist possibility that there is penicillin in shrooms it wouldnt do any harm any way.

If there's any mould on your mushrooms it would make sense not to eat them. Do you eat mouldy bread?

If you were allergic to penicillin it could do you a great deal of harm.

I am allergic to penicillin. I'm looking forward to taking shrooms on my birthday this July - will there be any danger for me because of my allergy?

im allergic to penicillin too and i've eatin shrooms many a times with no allergic reactions.

yeah, just dont eat moldy shrooms.

im allergic to penicillin and never had a reaction off shrooms.

Thanks- I'd never thought of it before until a few days ago. I'm looking forward to it. I've never tried shrooms before although I've done other things.

Wash em if it makes you feel better.

Shrooms have the same chance of having pennicilin mold as anything else.

I have been taking penicilline a whole week now because i was sick, but i want to trip on mushrooms, can it be harmfull if i take mushrooms with the medication"penicilline" still in my system

Wow old old thread no there shouldn't be any reaction penacillin is an anti-biotic that attacks bacterial infections in your body.
