When we first moved in, electronics would turn themselves on and off, and change channels all on their own.  My car radio would do this (only in the driveway though,) and the television in the living room too.

Once I was walking back to my bedroom and a model car (A Jaguar of some sort) that was on a bookshelf to my right (I was approaching the open door but still maybe 10 feet from the room) suddenly flew off the shelf and rolled across the room.  Completely unlike falling - it was like something threw it.  But I saw with my own eyes that nothing could possibly have thrown it.

My mother supposedly witnessed a lightbulb unscrew itself, float in the air, and then fly off laterally.  When she investigated it was found intact on the ground.  I wasn't there for that though, so I can't speak to the authenticity of the experience.

I don't even believe in ghosts.  Go figure.  I don't really "believe" in anything except for the undeniable fact of my own existence, but that's for another thread.

It's probably your boiler turning on. Quit being a pansy and go down there with a baseball bat, golf club, or shotgun and figure out what the hell it is... Then fuck it up. If it's the boiler, watch out for those gas lines. I hear gas explodes.
