they are the closest thing to a libertarian in sports that there is. they have absurd talent yet they still do whatever the fuck they want to do and dont let the league or anyone else control them. if that isnt heroic i dont know what is.

for example manny ramirez couldve set TONS of records like career RBIs and possibly even home runs. couldve had 3000 hits too. but instead of shaping his pure raw talent every offseason he spends his time smoking chronic blunts in the dominican republic

so many athletes these days let something or someone control them, whether it be an agent, the league, or their coach.

yeah, that takes courage, and bravery... to have a few million and live a life of luxury? omg, you told a sports commish to go fuck himself? what balls! worse case scenario you are going to be able to sit on your ass for the rest of your life doing jacuzzi commercials.

dont hate because you lost the gene pool lottery and arent good at sports.

it's not their fault that we as americans give them the opportunity to earn millions. do i think they deserve it for that they do? no, but thats another conversation completely. the institution and market is what it is and frankly the owners are the ones really making the bigger bucks
