help with a trojan

So, I somehow picked up an annoying little trojan.

the effects I have noticed is:

When I try to open a webpage from a browser, for a split second it goes to what I clicked on and then tries to re-direct me to www.google-analytics, this has become really annoying.

Also, pop-ups that my anti-virus catches and shuts down, but still annoying.

I ran AVG and Ad-aware and they both deleted something, one being a trojan, but the effect still remains.  I tried to download spybot, but something about it trying to reach it's server for update is being blocked by the trojan.

ANY help is appreciated.  thanks.

Run Malwarebytes anti-malware. Shut down your current anti-virus while you run it. Rename the .exe to something else if it doesn't run the first time. Let me know if that works, if not, we'll try something else. :thumbup:

uhm for trojans not instantly killed its best to go with hijackTHIS! IMO.

confusing for the first 10 minutes or so but its pretty simple to use.  You can find online hijackthis log analyzers online.

Yeah run hijack this, get some help with the log on one of the popular forums like bleepingcomputer or spywarewarrior forums. Don't just go checking boxes and deleting shit you aren't sure about because you could destroy your OS.
for getting rid of any spyware/trojans/etc, it's best to run the program inside safe mode. Run updated malwarebytes and combofix in safe mode. If the problem persists, run  ATF Cleaner and then SUPERAntiSpyware .........................THEN do the hijackthis! log and post results in a forum where people can analyze them for you and assist you further. such as here - http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/forums/forum22.html
Of course the cleanest/easiest way to get rid of most virus/trojan is to just reformat/reinstall, but I understand that's not always an option.
Sometimes it's the best option though, on the really annoying and malicious ones. You can still get rid of it though and prevent it from happening again, it just takes more time. This one just seems like a simple browser hijack though, should be easy to remove.

they let you upload your log file and compare it against a clean system along with peer reviews of certain reg keys and processes

So, I ran AVG and Ad-aware in safe mode, and they found nothing. I also ran ATF cleaner with no results.

Even in safe mode something is blocking me from installing Malwarebytes, combo fix and spybot. 

Gah, frustrating.  I will eventually end up reformatting, but damn, I just did not to long ago.

Any other advice?
