I'd consider myself to be pretty damn good. My material is still largely covers though

You're not "pretty damn good" until you're playing mostly originals imo, I stopped playing covers about 3 years ago, and i've been playing for about 5-6 years myself. Guess it depends on what you're looking for. Sorry if that comes off as an asshole statement. Still not satisfied with what I write though...Your playing is pretty good though. I remember jamming with my drummer for like 3 hours on shrooms once...what an emotional rollercoaster that was. Remember that people like Hendrix became who they were by being original and doing their own thing. Sure, they did covers, but they made it their own, ya know? Best way to do that is jam with a band so that the musical structure has more flexibility. I like to just sit at my window with a metronome going and jamming for hours and hours, thats where you come up with good shit. Check out my band and tell me what you think, we have more songs so shoot me a PM if oyu want to hear more (we have another song called Southern Bud :crazy2:) www.myspace.com/dinchaosmetal

lol, I wish psychedelics were abundant enough for me to jam whilst tripping often, I've always had bouts of musical creativity after trips, I'm in need of one right now haha. I like your playing style though man, it's definitely got a flow to it. Keep it up!

Rerecording with better audio would be the only thing I'd have to say. I switched from my laptop to stereo speakers to listen to it halfway through, so it must have been pretty good.
