Poi and Devil sticks always make me think of the Tea Faerie (the one on the bottom left). If you don't know who she is, she writes a column on Erowid, and is very involved in the spinning scene.

try the ones that change colors while you're spinning them. It's better than fire when you're tripping

The lights I have have a setting where they fade from pink to green and back again. They look especially sweet with hand wraps

thats exactly what i'm talking about. I've seen some that do the same thing with like 6 colors.
I was impressed to say the least.
