Aesop Rock is an incredible lyricist. I don't know why he is not better known amongst hip hop artists.

Besides, lots of songs have nonsensical lyrics. I can name a few famous ones off the top of my head that make little sense.

Eh I would disagree. Aesop says some pretty deep shit. He's a highly intelligent guy and a lot of it flies over my head. I also think he's writes mainly for himself which is why he seems scattered. Dude is a crazy scientist of words.

Just to be clear, Misos said his lyrics *MAKE* sense, not that they DON'T make sense or make NO sense. I thought the same thing when I first read it.


Anyways, Aesop Rock is with out the shadow of a doubt one of the greatest musical artists.

Dude a lot of people know of Aesop he is no way "small time."  Sure the "masses" aka the majority of people never heard of him but there is a large portion of people who are familiar.  They are out there...

I am a fan, but in no way is he my favorite.
